There are many different factors
which attributes to the development of
cellulite. Sometimes it is not just a
single factor but rather a combination
of them.
Hormonal Change
Hormones have a major impact on the
fat, water retention and blood
circulation of the body. During a time
of a rapid change in hormones such as
puberty, pregnancy and menopause can
lead to an increase or development of
cellulite.
Genetics
Cellulite is a condition that is
hereditary. Women with moms that have
cellulite are more likely to develop
cellulite themselves.
Aging
The chances of cellulite developing
may increase for some women as they get
older. This is because the surface
of the skin thins as people get older.
This causing fat deposits to become more
visible and cellulite to appear more
apparent.
Improper Diet
A poor diet which contains a lot of
alcohol, processed foods, caffeine, and
sugar can contribute to cellulite.
Unhealthy foods produces toxins that get
trapped in fatty tissues and leads to
cellulite.
Not drinking enough liquids can
prevent flushing of toxins in the body
which causes cellulite, Also, not
getting enough vitamins and minerals can
also lead to unhealthy skin and
cellulite.
Lack of Exercise
Nothing getting enough exercise can
also aid the development of cellulite.
This is because not exercising can lead
to the connective tissues of the
skin hardening and causing dimples.
Smoking
Smoking can damage the connective
tissues in your body and cause the
dimpled effect of cellulite.
Medication
Certain types of medication such as
diet pills, sleeping pills, and birth
control pills can also increase the
chances of cellulite.
